I WAS IN WASHBURN, WISCONSIN IN OCTOBER 2010!!! We also took the ferry over to Madeline Island and I walked along Lake Superior on a gloriously beautiful & unseasonably warm day thereon the other side of the peninsula from Washburn. I SO wanted to go back there this past summer, but, alas......lack of funds prevented it. I know a potter there -- Elisa (Eli) Wilson - Soulfire Pottery. She is a friend of my youngest son's and I stopped to see her - spent a couple of nights in the area. SUCH fun!! When we get together, I want to hear more about your time there!!!
